Officers have uncovered a Cannabis Grow in Stoke.

Another illegal cannabis grow has been uncovered and successfully removed in our city – with the offender caught red-handed and placed under investigation.

Our city is facing ongoing drug-related problems that affect the safety and quality of life for citizens. Illegal cannabis grows are not just about drugs – they bring dangerous consequences right to your doorstep.

  • Grows often involve illegally bypassed electricity, increasing the risk of house fires.
  • Many homes are destroyed internally, with mould, water damage, and structural issues.
  • These illegal operations often fund or attract further criminal activity, including violence and intimidation.
  • The presence of a grow can lower property values and increase fear among residents.
  •

Be alert to the warning signs:

  • Covered or blacked out windows
  • Strong cannabis smell, often at night
  • High levels of condensation on windows
  • Continuous fan or electrical humming
  • Unusual comings and goings at odd hours
  • Excessive security like CCTV or reinforced doors
  •

We encourage members of the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour. Community cooperation plays a key role in helping us reduce crime and keep our neighbourhoods safe.
